Founder & Principal - Liz Rhoades, MS, Dipl. Dist.
Liz Rhoades is an award-winning and patented technical distiller who has over a decades’ experience within beverage alcohol, working with a variety of substrates, spirits, and products. Across five continents, she has helped numerous of operations and brands - from start-up, small craft, mid-tier, and to large international scale.
Throughout her career, Liz has worked on some exciting brands and operations - such as Crown Royal, WhistlePig, Bulleit, George Dickel, Captain Morgan, and Smirnoff - just to name a few.
Her expertise revolves around her mantra - where art meets science. Whether it be devising a creative solution to a technical issue or opportunity, or applying science to create the next award-winning spirit! Distilling it down, here are some key areas of experience:

As a passionate educator, Liz has presented at several industry conferences and summits, co-hosted a whiskey-focused podcast - A Spirited Conversation - through Zavvy.co, and on occasion, pens technical articles for the Whiskey Wash © and various publications. In addition, she serves on various technical and executive boards - including Distilling Research Grant, American Malting Barley Association, and the Council of Whisky Masters.
Liz holds a Master’s degree in Food Science from North Carolina State University and her Diploma Distiller from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling.
